Formed summer 1942, probably in Srebrenica/East Bosnia. Disbanded and then reestablished in 1943 (see below). (1)

1 Oct 42: Bn. HQ and HQ Co. in Srebrenica, 1st Co. in Voljanica (Bjelovac), 2d Co. in Srebrenica, 3d Co. in Srebrenica, and 4th Co. in Bjeskovik (Lubnica).
1 Dec 42: Bn. HQ and most of the Battalion in Srebrenica.
30 Dec 42: Srebrenica.
14 Apr 43: Bn. HQ, HQ Co. and 1st – 4th Co. in Srebrenica.
Jul 43: disbanded due to combat losses, but then reestablished during the second half of 1943 by activating and renumbering one of the Ustasha preparatory battalions. Very little has been found on this battalion after July 1943, beyond the fact that it existed and is always mentioned in connection with the Travnik – Turbe area.
15 Apr 44: a half-company of the Battalion was identified in Turbe near Travnik fighting side-by-side with elements of the Domobran Mobile Brigade (Brzi zdrug).
Aug 44: renamed V Bn./I Ustasha Brigade. On 22 October it was destroyed in Travnik (see I Ustasha Brigade).
