Formed March 1943 with HQ in Prijedor from Domdo Bn. Banja Luka (as I Bn.) and Domdo Bn. Sanski Most (as II Bn.). Assigned to Croatian II Corps for administration and support, and to German 714. Inf.Div. for tactical employment. (1)

Operational History

11 Jul 43: Regiment reorganized this date as follows - Rgt. HQ and 9th Co. in Prijedor (65 men), I Bn. (1st – 4th Co.) in Prijedor and deployed along the Prijedor – Banja Luka railway line with 590 men, II Bn. (5th – 7th Co.) in defense of the Sanski Most area with 313 men. Total strength: 968 officers and men. Subordinated to Croatian II Corps and the German 373. Inf.Div. (kroat.).
27 Aug 43: an entire company of 142 men from II Bn. surrendered to the Partisans at Vrhpolje/13 km SSE of Sanski Most without resistance. The German XV. Geb.A.K. recommended that immediate steps be taken to disband the Regiment and incorporate the remaining personnel in the Croatian 3d Mountain Brigade.
11 Sep 43: Rgt. HQ in Dragotinja/13 km NW of Prijedor, I Bn. in Brezičani/6 km NW of Prijedor, and II Bn. in the Sanski Most area.
14 Sep 43: Regiment ordered disbanded this date due to poor morale and numerous cases of desertion, with a remaining personnel reassigned to Croatian 3d Mountain Brigade.
