Formed in January 1941 and subordinate to the Deutscher Seetransportchef Italien for technical matters and to the Deutsches Marinekommando Tunesien for troop services. It was formed with the staff of Seetransporthauptstelle Tripoli to control the Seetransportstellen in North Africa. The Chef was also the Marineverbindungsoffizier zum Deutschen Afrikakorps. It dissolved in February 1943.
