The SS-Kavallerie-Ersatzabteilung (also SS-Kavallerie-Ersatz-Abteilung Warschau or SS-Kavallerie-Ersatz-Abteilung 8) was formed in March 1941 from the Ersatz Schwadron (previously 9. (Ersatz) Schwadron).
It was later redesignated the SS-Kavallerie-Ausbildung-und-Ersatz-Abteilung Warschau. It took part in the crushing of the Warsaw Uprising under the SS und Polizeiführer Warschau.
It was upgraded to the SS-Kavallerie-Ausbildung-und-Ersatz-Regiment in August 1944.
