The Reichswehr-Brigade 8 Oppeln of the Vorläufige Reichswehr was formed in June 1919 from the Freikorps units Freiwilligen 12. Infanterie-Division and Freikorps von Aulock.

It merged with Reichswehr-Brigade 32 in February 1920 into Reichswehr-Brigade 8 of the Übergangsheer and was disbanded in December 1920.
