The Polizei-Freiwilligen-Regiment 3 Kroatien was formed in April 1944 with manpower from the Croatian XI Railway Security Battalion, XII Railway Security Battalion and XIII Railway Security Battalion and was used for railway protection in Croatia.

This unit took part in anti-partisan operations in Croatia.
