Formed in Deutsch-Eylau in West Prussia in August 1942. It was subordinate to Festung Gotenhafen, then Abschnitt Gotenhafen. In September of 1942 the Abteilung was moved to Löbau in Saxony. On 01 January 1944 it was moved to the control of the 2. Admiral der Ostsee and re-named 11. Marineersatzabteilung.
