The Panzer-Abteilung 211 (in some sources listed as Panzer-Abteilung Wolf) was formed 24 March 1941 in Norway from II./Panzer-Regiment 201 and was assigned to XXXVI Gebirgs-Armeekorps. It was equipped with captured French tanks.
