The 560. Volksgrenadier-Division was formed in Moss, Norway, in September 1944 from 560. Grenadier-Division and was sent to Denmark in November. It was sent to the Ardennes in December 1944 and took part in the Battle of the Bulge as a part of LVIII Panzerkorps. It fought in the Eifel area in January 1945 as a part of II SS Panzerkorps and later fought at Echternach and was destroyed in the Ruhr pocket in April.
