At the beginning of the Russian campaign the German armoured trains (Panzerzug) were divided on the various fronts as follows:

Heeresgruppe Nord
18. Armee had No6 Armoured train, stationed at Insterburg
16. Armee had Armoured trains 26 & 30 stationed at Eydtkau

Heeresgruppe Mitte
9. Armee had Armoured trains 1 & 3 stationed at Ortelsburg
4. Armee had Armoured trains 2,28 & 29 stationed at Warschau,Terespol and Platerow respectivly.
Panzergruppe 2 had Armoured train 27 stationed at Terespol

Heeresgruppe Süd
6. Armee had Armoured trains 4 & 7 stationed at Kliece
17. Armee had Armoured train 31 stationed at Zurawica.

The Armored trains 27, 80 and 81 and schwere Spahzug 205 and 206 survived the war and was post-war used by the reborn Czechoslovakian army.
