III Lička Ustasha Battalion (III. Lička ustaška bojna)

Formed May 1942 in the Kordun region to the south of Karlovac as an operational formation for use in the final phase of the offensive against Partisans and disloyal civilians in the Petrova gora mountains. (1)
May – Aug 42: operated in the Kordun until June when it transferred to Karlovac to replenish. In July in moved south to Bihać with the I and II Lička Ustasha Battalions and in August it was located in Otoka on the Una River northeast of Bihać.
1 Sep 42: renamed XXXIII Ustasha Battalion on or about this date.
