Holders of the Blood Order and the Knight's Cross

Most of these holders were cadets at the Infantry School (Infanterie-Schule München) in Munch on 9 November 1923 when the "Beer Hall Putsch" took place. The school commandant Generalmajor Hans Tieschowitz von Tieschowa ordered the cadets out under arms to support the Putsch but it had collapsed before they could take part. In 1933 the Blood Order was awarded to all serving or retired members of the Infantry School who participated in the events that date leading to a situation were this highly prestigious NSDAP award being awarded to soldiers who had no connection to the party.
